So That Arkham City Robin Rumor Was True

About a week ago, there was a rumor floating around that not only would Robin the Boy Wonder be appearing along Batman in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City, he would be a playable character as well. Well, it seems there was some truth to this rumor after all as our first look at Robin, along with details on how to get him and what part he’ll play, popped up on IGN yesterday. More information and the full image after the jump.

Before you get all excited about traversing the city as the Boy Wonder, let it be known that Robin will only be playable in the new challenge maps in the title and it’s unsure if he appears at all in the story mode. The Tim Drake Robin pack, which contains Robin, two additional challenge maps, and a bonus Red Robin skin, can only be obtained by preordering the title at Best Buy (though I’m sure it’ll be available as DLC a few months later, it’s what they always do…).

I wish we could see it in color. I understand sticking with the design motif we’ve had thus far, but it’d be nice to see what Tim will actually look like in-game before making a decision. Right now I’m not exactly digging the “Cole the Boy Wonder” look here. I don’t think ANY of the Robins have ever shaved their heads, have they? Whatever, I’m sure it’ll be awesome and I’m just being a nitpicky nerd.
