Fox News Doesn’t Understand Volcanoes or the Moon, Gets a Smackdown From Bill Nye

Oh, this is just all sorts of win. I think it’s safe to say that most people know of Bill Nye from the classroom, having grown up watching Bill Nye the Science Guy in many a science class. Hell, those were the best days in class; my class looked forward to it at least. Anyway, for that reason I think it escapes most people that Bill Nye is in fact a legitimate, extremely intelligent scientist and not just some video host (for the record, Bill Nye has to be OLD now, but he still looks good, huh?).

Fox News, clearly the most trustworthy and reliable source of intelligent news source we have as Americans (try saying that with a straight face, it can’t be done), decided to bring him on to talk about the recent ancient volcanoes that were discovered on the moon. This is where things get a little…awkward. The Fox News anchor asks where the volcanoes came from, because “we obviously haven’t been up there burning fossil fuels.” This stupefies Nye, and he summarily verbally owns the anchor about just how volcanoes are made. It is a treat to watch, enjoy it above.

I truly hope you’re joking about fox being the most reliable trustworthy news source. Bill nye its the man. I have all 100 of his episodes and my kid watches him all the time.

Oh yes, rest assured that was dripping with sarcasm.

Did a small edit to hopefully make it clearer. And where can you get the series? I’d totally buy them
