Epic Dr.Who/Sherlock Mashup FanVid!

February 9, 2012 Leave a comment

The very minute Whovians learned that Steven Moffat would be penning the Sherlock Holmes redux for BBC, the fanfic crossover cup raneth over and the fanart promptly followed. ¬†The nifty graphic you see above is just one example from the seriously talented Nero749, who’s stuff you should go buy. ūüôā Before you even ask, yes, there’s a¬†DeviantArt Group¬†dedicated to the Time Lord and the master of deduction (wait, Master?!!.. Great, now my crossover fanfic plot bunny is stirring). ¬†Naturally, it follows that there are a ton of fanvids that have joined in on the fun as well. As I’m sure you are well aware, however, truly amazing fanvids are few and far between. So when something like this comes across the desk, it has to be shared. This person has some serious effing FinalCut skills and I’m not afraid to say I’m absolutely jealous! Hit the jump to check it out and let me know what you think in the comments!

The best to be hoped for is perhaps Lady Gaga sporting them in lieu of another meat suit. Don’t get me wrong, they have some pretty sweet, nerdy stuff on their site too, like the Mario/Watchmen mash-up bathing suit. On the other hand, though, these are the same folks who brought you the Steve Buscemi dress, which is just… wow.

WTF Wednesday: The Beardo

You can blame Canada for this week’s WTF item. Just¬†when you thought beanie-wearing hipsters couldn’t get any lamer, here comes The Beardo. It’s a beanie with a hideable knitted beard inside to warm your face. Yes, you read that correctly. To read more about getting the faux Galifianakis look, hit the jump…
