‘Batman: Arkham City’ Game of the Year Edition and ‘Harley Quinn’s Revenge’ Announced
Well, this was bound to happen. Batman: Arkham City is receiving a Game of the Year edition and there’s really no title of last year that deserves it more. This thing was a juggernaut, the undisputed greatest Batman game ever created. It did what seemed impossible: outdid it’s predecessor, Batman: Arkham Asylum and met every bit of hype that we thrust upon it. Now, it looks like the Game of the Year edition won’t disappoint us either. Hit the jump for the trailer and all the details!
As you can see above, the Game of the Year edition, releasing on May 29th, includes the full game and all of the DLC that’s been released so far, along with a digital download of Batman: Year One and the “Harley Quinn’s Revenge” DLC slated for release. This new DLC allows you to play as Robin, as well as a few rumored others, in a campaign setting for the first time ever. This “final mission” has you swapping between Batman and Robin as you seek to stop her and her new gang from executing their plan of vengeance, and shut Arkham City down for good.
Now, luckily, if you already own Batman: Arkham City you don’t need to buy the Game of the Year edition to get the “Harley Quinn’s Revenge” DLC. If you own all of the previous DLC, you’ll be able to buy “Harley Quinn’s Revenge” on April 30th. So you can make sure you’re all caught up, we’ve got a list for you right here:
- Catwoman DLC Pack
- Nightwing DLC Pack
- Robin DLC Pack
- Skins DLC Pack
- Challenge Maps DLC Pack
