‘Superman Classic’ Asks “What if Superman Was a Disney Cartoon?”

Another day, another fan-made piece of art that I wish was real. Disney animator Robb Pratt has created a short film for the Man of Steel, animated in traditional Disney animation style, and it’s amazing. I wish this thing was an actual cartoon, seriously. Hit the jump to see the short and be sure to stick around after the very quick credits to see some behind the scenes work from Robb.

This makes me sort of really sad that traditional hand-drawn animation is all but dead. Sure Flash and CGI animation both have their merits, but you really just can’t top the occasional imperfection and sheer dedication that goes into the hand-drawn work. Ah well.

I’ve got some creative ideas for your blog you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great website and I look forward to seeing it grow over time.
