Guardians of the Galaxy is rapidly becoming my most anticipated film of the year (and will probably take the top slot once Godzilla is released). Everything about it just seems so refreshing and new compared to the rest of the Marvel universe, and after seeing the tone and expectations change quite a bit in Captain America: The Winter Soldier I think it’s safe to say that Guardians will deliver on the promised originality. Everything we’ve seen so far as well seems to reaffirm it, such as these new photos shot during production of the film. Hit the jump to check them out.
This post really needs no introduction; watch above as Yoshitaka Amano, the man behind FINAL FANTASY‘s legendary art, illustrates some work for Child of Light.
After getting a small tease last month, the full costume Grant Gustin will be donning as Barry Allen in The Flash has debuted online. Hit the jump to see the initial tease and the full costume.
I have to admit, I have been so uneasy about Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ever since its announcement. The man didn’t do much to ease our terror either, with early announcements naming the film as simply Ninja Turtles and altering their origin to be space aliens that happen to look like turtles. Bay himself was quick to reign in these concepts after the fan backlash and the film went back into quiet pre-production. Now we have a better look at what to expect when the film drops this year, and I’m guardedly optimistic. Hit the jump to check out some photos.
This is a perfect example of “things I had no idea I wanted until they were handed to me.” Those of you who have seen Frozen (and really, if you haven’t, stop reading this blog and go see it in a second run theater right now. Easily the best Disney film in a decade) have probably heard Elsa’s ballad “Let It Go” dozens of times in every single medium you can find, but I doubt you’ve seen it performed by Mr. Freeze from the atrocious Batman and Robin. This is actually a rather interesting video examining the work of Tom Bingham, a man who has made not only tons of Star Wars-themed guitars, but many more customizations that are pretty awesome as well. Check it out, it’s a fun watch.
