This Trailer For an HD Remake of ‘The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask’ Isn’t Real. But It Still Looks Amazing.
It’s always bittersweet when you see a fan-made trailer that’s so good you wish the game it’s teasing would really happen. Some clever fans tried to use all news coming out of E3 to pass off this trailer for a Wii U remake of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask as legitimate; it isn’t, but maybe Nintendo should pay attention because it looks fantastic. Artist Sean NG has a vision of a post apocalyptic Zelda game, one I can fully get behind. In it, Hyrule has been devastated by nuclear war. Radioactive ReDeads and cyborg Wizzrobes terrorize the overgrown ruins, and Gannondorf appears to be a corporate monster in addition to being a real one. Read more…
I’m fully aware the news about The Legend of Zelda HD and the Wii U tech demo showcasing said title were a major part of this year’s E3, but I for some reason never reported on it. That being said, the release of Skyward Sword (which is phenomenal) has me back into Zelda fanboy mode so I’m reporting on it now. Sometimes the coolest games aren’t new releases, but player-created mods of existing ones. Such is the case of Hyrule: Total War, a mod for Medieval 2: Total War that replaces all the normal soldiers with the factions of Hyrule. Count me in. Check out the intro trailer after the jump.
