Watch a Professional Figure Skater Skate to the Music of ‘Chrono Trigger’

It’s a shame this guy didn’t win, because this would have been legendary. While skating at the Four Continents skating championships in Colorado, a Canadian skater by the name of Kevin Reynolds decided to skate out to orchestral arrangements of tracks from Chrono Trigger and it’s sequel Chrono Cross. Bravo, I say.

Awesomesauce: Square’s ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ Figures

It may seem a bit late to be previewing figures for Batman: Arkham Asylum, with that title long past and its successor Arkham City almost a week away from release, but sometimes quality takes a bit of time. Square debuted these figures at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, and they were amazing. Now there are some nice photos to show off to the general public. It’s an absolute sin that Nintendo hasn’t cashed in and partnered up with Square to release a line of high-quality figures from The Legend of Zelda series. Perhaps they didn’t have faith that it could be done. If this was the case then they need not worry ever again, because this Link figure compiled by BDCdiesel of Figure Realm out of a bunch of other figures is absolutely gorgeous. Remember when action figures were poorly detailed, had pretty much no ability to pose, and were basically just hunks of plastic sort of resembling a familiar hero or heroine? We’ve certainly come a long way since then, and this Play Arts figure of Lightning from FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 is proof. Awesomesauce: 1:6 Scale ‘Batsuit Begins’ Bruce Wayne Figure By Hot Toys

You know, it’s probably a good thing I’m not rich because I’m sure I’d squander my entire fortune on comic and film-related whims. Whims such as this 1:6 scale figure of Batman/Bruce Wayne from Batman Begins, which the word “awesomesauce” doesn’t even BEGIN to describe. The figure, manufactured by Hot Toys and distributed by Sideshow Collectibles, will include so many additional parts and limb options when it ships this October that it’s simply mind-blowing. Hot Toys’ 1/6th Captain America Figure is Amazing

You know what, I take it back. I don’t apologize for the overload of Captain America updates this week, because there are just too many awesome things being shown as we get closer to the film’s release. One such bit of awesomeness comes from Hot Toys, known by nerds everywhere as makers of some of the finest crafted figures around (and usually cheaper than their competitor, Sideshow Collectibles).

There hasn’t been a specific release date announced, but we know it’ll be available in the third quarter of 2011, so keep on the lookout. Hit the jump for some awesome shots of it.
