Earlier, if you recall, we posted a video of the gameplay shown at Gamescom 2012 for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. It was pretty awesome, albeit at an angle and off a cell phone camera. We’re getting closer and closer to the beginning of the beta test for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn (previously titled FINAL FANTASY XIV 2.0) and we’re finally starting to see some new goodies for it. Brand New, Absolutely Gorgeous Screenshots From ‘FINAL FANTASY XIV Version 2.0’ Surface at E3

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when Square scrapped their plans to show off a brand new trailer for FINAL FANTASY XIV Version 2.0 at this year’s E3. Especially because the trailer was, um, finished and I don’t buy their excuse of wanting a flood of new information rather than a trickle. While it may not be a trailer, Square did drop a ton of concept art and new screenshots for the title this year, and I am a very excited man. Hit the jump to check it out.

‘FINAL FANTASY XIV’ Ifrit Trailer and Gear

With all the hype over airships, chocobos, and Grand Companies in the upcoming 1.19 patch to FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, it’s very easy to overlook one extremely cool addition: a large-scale boss fight against Ifrit himself. With the patch going live today the development team decided to release a short little trailer showcasing some actual battle footage, and it is badass. ‘FINAL FANTASY XIV Online’ Chocobo Trailer

As we’ve previously reported, the next patch for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, Patch 1.19, will finally be bringing chocobo and airship travel to the realm of Eorzea. As part of the promised fixes and changes made to fans by the new development team, players of the title have been waiting quite some time to finally get a look at the infamous mounts in action. Well, they needn’t wait any longer. Early this morning, the official FINAL FANTASY XIV Twitter account posted a little trailer of sorts for the upcoming addition, and it looks great. More Information On the Upcoming Addition of Chocobo Travel to ‘Final Fantasy XIV’

Though it may be a very, very niche audience I’m still going to be posting updates on big news from FINAL FANTASY XIV. Why? Because I enjoy it a lot now that it’s been almost completely fix, and I know there are others out there that do as well. As we stated in an earlier post, the upcoming Patch 1.19 is going to finally be bringing chocobos and airships to the realm of Eorzea as a form of transportation. Well on the official forums a bit more information about the system has surfaced in the forum of a post by the development team. Hit the jump to check it out.
