Check Out the Full Scale ‘TRON: Legacy’ Lightcycle Replica In Action

For a while now, the Parker Brothers custom shop have been working on creating a full-sized replica of the lightcycles from TRON and TRON: Legacy, and it would seem they’re finally done. After the jump you can check out the electric-powered cycles in action. It’s pretty badass, I wish they weren’t so expensive or I’d buy one today.

We Need More of This 3D ‘Tron’ Pin-Up Art

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to post this, it’s been on the web FOREVER. This piece of pin-up art, inspired by Tron: Legacy and rendered in 3DS Max by Andrew Hickinbottom of the UK, is absolutely phenomenal. Not drawings, but an actual pieces of 3D art such as this, are Hickinbottom’s specialty and I cannot wait until we see more Tron inspired pieces.

Bruce Boxleitner Confirms ‘Tron 3’?

Someone had a little talk with Tron and Tron: Legacy actor Bruce Boxleitner during a signing at the D23 Expo in Anaheim last week, and it would appear from the video above that he confirmed that a third Tron film was already a “done deal” with a release date of 2013. I really sort of doubt this; I imagine that Boxleitner meant that Disney had begun pre-production for the film, as in writing the script and maybe doing some concept work, not actually preparing to shoot the thing. But still, I’m down for a third Tron, and I kind of figured it was coming: you don’t put Cillian Murphy on screen for a total of about five minutes and not have it be the set-up for something.

‘TRON’ Vader: Ruling the Digital Side of the Force in Style

I do so enjoy mashups of TRON and, well, anything. I thought Marvel missed a real opportunity with those variant covers to promote TRON: Legacy, as the end result was sort of meh. If they had come out looking like this maybe I would have picked them up, that’s all. Artist Roderique Arisiaman has gone ahead and sent the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader, into the grid and the results are a treat to look at.
